Today after we went shopping we went to the state house. Molly our tour guide started off by showing us a replica of the state house. She showed the part of the state house that was built first, the Bulfinch wing. After looking at the replica we moved into the second room which was the front entrance of the state house. It had ten pillars and they used that room for three different things. First thing they used it for was greeting other state leaders. The second thing they used it for was bringing in flags from the war divisions. The last thing they used it for was when president’s visit. After learning about that we went through two rooms that both had really cool stain glass roofs. After looking at the stained glass roofs we when into a hallway full of all the Massachusetts city flags. We went upstairs and were able to go into both the senate and house chambers. There was a fish hanging over from the roof that they called the sacred cod. At the end of the tour we took one last photo posing in front of one of the murals then left to get dinner. It was a similar posed photo that the last 8th grade class who visited took. Overall it was a pretty entertaining tour and I liked watching it.
